Our primary aim is to release quality African Hip-hop Music to the world. With its main office in London, a branch in Lagos and recording studios in Enfield, Essex and Ikoyi, Ikuku is geared to take on the music scene with a bang. While the label is fundamentally in it for the hustle, this does not compromise the tertiary vision of breaking fresh new afro hip-hop to the world. Party jam or not. With current signings K16 and Unseen epitomizing the concept that, rap music should first be about the beat, lyrics, delivery and flow, before anything else First single off the label was “if you never sabi” by K16. This received mixed reviews among the musical fraternity, with some thinking it an instant classic and others totally not getting it, because it wasn’t a club record K16’s second single “Ikebe” a radio friendly dance record, with the trademark triple language flow, has now been released, with a snazzy video to match. It also has the instant classic B-Side, “Don’t Go” which has proved to be a hit with all listeners. Simultaneously, Unseen’s first single “Trouble” has also been released.
